The LIQUI-VIEW Base series operate on the Karman vortex principle and are made for operation on liquids. A great advantage of these vortex flow meters is the absence of moving parts which makes these instruments impervious to deposits of hard water and maintenance free.
Features of Vortex Liquid Flow Meter
- Display features: - Local readout of actual flow rate - Tilting display (180°C) - Bright, wide-angle and easy-to-read display - Makes liquid flows visible by analog output (4..20 mA) - No moving parts makes it: - Impervious to deposits - Maintenance free
- Low pressure drop - Mounting in any position - Wide flow ranges - Fast response - Suitable for dirty water (circulating, well or waste water) - Sustainable product design - Low power consumption - Lightweight and compact
The fields of application for this vortex liquid flow meter are diverse: - Cooling water monitor - Deionized water (RO/DI skids) - Ultra pure water distribution (medicare, biotech, semiconductor, pharmaceutical) - Drinking water

Q: What happens during measurement with a vortex meter when the tube vibrates?
A: In general, vortex meters are sensitive to vibrations and impact shocks. Therefore vibrations and impact shocks should be prevented in the neighbourhood of the meter.
Q: Which liquids can be measured with LIQUI-VIEW Base?
A: Water and all water like liquids which are not flammable, corrosive or toxic. With the following definitions we are able to correct the influence of media with higher viscosity than water (= media viscosit y > 1.8 cST) in order to reach a measuring accuracy of 3% fs in the range of 1.8 – 4 cST and of 4% in the range of 4 – 14 cSt (υ= viscosity in cSt).
